How to install your eSIM
Purchase and receive your eSIM
After purchasing a plan on CloudOn, you'll receive a QR code in your email and in your account under My eSIMs. Make sure you have an internet connection before you start.
Open iPhone Settings
Go to Settings → Cellular (or "Mobile Data" in some regions). Tap "Add eSIM" or "Add Data Plan".
Scan the QR code
Select "Use QR Code" and scan the QR code from your CloudOn account or email. Keep your screen brightness high for best results.
Confirm installation
Follow the on-screen prompts. When asked to label the plan, choose something memorable like "CloudOn" or the country name.
Set as data plan
Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data. Select your CloudOn eSIM as the active data plan. You can keep your regular SIM for calls and texts.
Enable Data Roaming
In Settings → Cellular → CloudOn eSIM, enable "Data Roaming". This is required for your eSIM to connect abroad.
Connect abroad
When you arrive at your destination, your device will automatically connect to the best available network. Enjoy your trip!
Troubleshooting

QR code not scanning
Try increasing screen brightness or cleaning the camera lens. Alternatively, use the manual activation code — go to your eSIM detail page in your CloudOn account and click "Copy" next to the activation code.
No network after installation
Go to your eSIM settings and make sure "Data Roaming" is enabled. Also check that the CloudOn eSIM is selected as your data plan. Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off.
"eSIM not supported" error
Your device may not support eSIM, or it may be carrier-locked. Check our Compatibility page or contact your carrier.
Installation fails or hangs
Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and enough battery (above 20%). Restart your phone and try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
